Anna C. (Jones) Kushner, 102, of Carteret, died on Friday, November 15, 2024 peacefully at home. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and resided in Carteret since 1947. Anna served in the Navy Nurse Corp. during World War II, after the war she worked in the operating room of Rahway Hospital (RWJU Hospital), in the office of Howard P. Snyder of Westfield and in the office of Dr. Richard Newman of Clark before retiring. After retirement she volunteered again at RWJU Hospital until her death. Volunteer hours were 4500 total. She was a devoted member of Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret, an active member of the Altar Rosary Society, Holy Family Seniors and the Night Seniors of Carteret. Anna was an avid Mets and Giants fan.

She is predeceased by her parents, Sheldon and Mary Jones, husband, Edward J. Kushner, granddaughter, Jessica Kushner and sister, Margaret Wells. Anna is survived by her two sons, Michael R. Kushner and his wife, Eva and Joseph E. Kushner and his wife, Bernadette, grandsons, Jesse Kushner and his partner, Stacey and Danny Kushner and his wife, Lauren; great grandchildren, Max, Hazel and Thea Kushner; niece, Linda White, other loved ones and her caregivers Irena and Elizabeth.

Funeral will be on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, with visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by a 10 AM Mass at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret. Cremation will be private. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, Carteret, NJ.
