Barbara J. Searfoss, 80, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at home. She was born in Newark, NJ and was a long-time resident of Carteret. She retired from Met Life after many years of service.

Barbara loved spending time at the beach, reading and relaxing in the sun. She was also a phenomenal cook, who enjoyed spoiling her family with delicious meals.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 55 years, Robert J. Searfoss; daughter, Kimberley Kuchma; son, Robert M. Searfoss and his wife, Rose; two beloved grandchildren, Kenny Kuchma and Bryan Mattos; and her sister, Helen Belencan and her husband, Gary Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ.
