Carolyn "Carey" Blackshaw, 62, of Carteret, died on Friday, May 17,2024 at home. She was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Carteret. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Carteret. Carey worked for Bloomingdale's in Bridgewater, as a Sales Professional. She loved the beach, Cape May was her favorite spot, her "Happy Place". Carey loved spending time with her family, friends and her dog, "Molly". She loved trying new places, such as Comedy Shows, Broadway Plays and Restaurants, to name a few.

Carey is predeceased by her baby brother, Ronald Geis, who passed in 1963. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Blackshaw; children, Dana Pacelli and her husband, Anthony, Michelle Bozarth and her husband, Brian and Richie Blackshaw Jr.; parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Geis; brother, Joseph Geis and his wife, Debby; many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral will be on Thursday, May 23,2024 starting at 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret, followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church in Carteret. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22,2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Deborah Heart and Lung Center 200 Trenton Road, Brown Mills, NJ 08015 would be appreciated.
