Carolyn J. Pynckels, 61, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Jersey City and in 1974 she moved to Carteret. Carolyn was a graduate of Carteret High School and went onto receive her nursing degree. She has been employed at JFK Medical Center as an LPN for 37 years. Carolyn was a member of the Carteret BPO Elks 2235, an animal lover and was an excellent cook and baker.

Predeceased by her parents, Carolyn and Stephan Moylan; Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Pynckels; brother, Stephan Moylan; nieces, Stephanie (Brian) and Vanessa (Kris); nephew, Travis (Deana); sister-in-laws, Barbara (Manfred) and Debra (Jerry); many other relatives and close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ from 5 PM to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carteret BPO Elks 2235 Charities or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her memory would be appreciated.
