Courtney Lyn Nelan, 35, formerly of Carteret, died on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was born in Perth Amboy and was raised in Carteret. Courtney was a 2006 Graduate of Carteret High School. She was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Veritas Recovery Center in South Amboy. Courtney loved to dance and sing, and her latest passion was riding a motorcycle.

She is predeceased by her father, Edward J. Nelan Jr. and her maternal grandparents, Patricia and Anthony Ammaturo. Courtney is survived by her loving mother, Janine Nelan; her sister, Megan Nelan; brother, Ryan Nelan; her children, Darius, Jayden, Ellianna, Azarah, Jazarius and Justice; her grandparents, Geraldine and Edward J. Nelan; many Aunts and Uncles; niece, Kaelani and nephew, Jared; many cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 4,2024 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret, NJ.
