Dolores M. Kochick of the Sewaren section of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison surrounded by her loving family. Born in Perth Amboy on October 6, 1939, Dolores resided in Sewaren for 84 years.

Upon graduating from Girls' Vocational School in Perth Amboy, Dolores worked for Revlon for a short time. After starting her family, she became a school crossing guard for the Township of Woodbridge for many years before retiring.

Dolores enjoyed bowling and was on the Bowlmor Bowlerettes team at the Bowlmor Alley in Woodbridge. While vacationing, she liked to visit flea markets and antique stores along the way. Dolores spent some of her best times watching movies and having "Girl Time" with her daughter.

Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert Kochick, her loving daughter, Deborah Melnick of Sewaren, her granddaughter Nicole Melnick-Jimenez of East Brunswick, grandsons Robert and Tyler Melnick of Sewaren, 9 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Ronald Kochick, sister-in-law Sharon Andersch, and many nieces and nephews. Dolores is also survived by her dear friend Cande Darling and her daughter Jacqueline.

The funeral will be held on Friday, January, 26, 2024 at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, with the viewing being from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by Interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
