Dorothy Lamp, 96, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City and was a long term resident of Carteret.

Dorothy was very physically active in her younger years and loved playing Bingo for decades. She had a love for fashion and was extremely proud of being the Manager of the New York & Co. Store in Woodbridge Center. She retired from there after many years of service.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Michael Lamp, who passed away in 1983. Dorothy is survived by her two loving sons, Kevin Lamp and his wife, Shannon White and Robert Lamp and his wife, Mary; her six grandchildren, AJ, Jayson, Patrick, Ellory, Bobbi and Randi; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with Visitation from 8: 30 AM to 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret, NJ, followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church in Carteret. Interment will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
