Dorothy Lukach Marek, 94, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at R.W.J.U. Hospital at Rahway surrounded by her family. She was born in Perth Amboy and was a life-long resident of Carteret. Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother, who dedicated herself to her family. She was known for her kindness and generosity, and her sharp wit and intellect. Dorothy was extremely proud to be the last survivor of her 13 siblings.

She is predeceased by her beloved, husband, Roland J. Marek, who passed away in 1992. Dorothy is survived by her four loving children, Patricia G. Marek, Gary M. Marek, Gayle G. Marek and David E. Marek; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, opening at 9:30 AM and Service at 10 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., Carteret, NJ. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Brunswick will follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
