Janine M. Nelan ,59, of Highland Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Rahway, grew up in Carteret, and resided in Fords as well as Highland Park.

She worked for Charschan Chiropractic in North Brunswick, as an administrative professional.

Janine was a proud and loving mother and grandmother, who prided herself in making her grandchildren feel special. She was their biggest cheerleader and supporter in all their activities. Janine loved music, cooking and had a great sense of humor.

She is predeceased by her parents, Patricia and Anthony Ammaturo; her husband, Eddie Nelan and her daughter, Courtney Lyn Nelan. Janine is survived by her loving children, Ryan Nelan and Megan Nelan; nine cherished grandchildren; her brother, Scott Ammaturo and his wife, Caren; half sister, Laura Geraghty; Aunts and Uncles; and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Joseph RC Church in Carteret. Arrangements were held under the care of Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ.
