John Steven Medvetz 26, of Carteret, tragically passed away at work in Keasbey, NJ on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and was a life-long resident of Carteret, NJ. John was a 2018 graduate of East Brunswick Vocational and Technical High School. He worked at Express Container Services in Keasbey, NJ. John was an outgoing, game loving guy, who loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

John is survived by his loving parents, Ann and Donald Medvetz; twin brother, Matthew Medvetz; sister, Emily Harris – Campbell; nephew, Mateo Edwards; Aunts, Kathy "Medz" Kaminsky (Tom) and Julia Wunder (Ray); cousins, TJ, Robert, Jennifer, Samantha, Callie, Max, Christopher, Ava, Cash and Aiden; many other family and close friends.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, visitation from 9:30 AM till 10 AM Prayer Service at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
