Joseph Edward Baginsky, 86, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Perth Amboy, moved to Carteret in 1959 when he married his beloved wife, Mary and resided in Carteret for the rest of his life.

Joseph retired after 39 years from the Middlesex Water Company in Iselin as a Superintendent of Production/Maintenance. He was an avid bingo player, loved crabbing and especially enjoyed watching the Yankees, Jets and boxing.

He is predeceased by his parents, Anna and Walter Baginsky; his wife, Mary (Merrell) Baginsky; two brothers, Walter and John; and his sister, Dot.

Joseph is survived by his loving son, Joseph M. Baginsky and his wife, Gina; his grandchildren, Cassandra Arnold and her husband Dennis, Joseph C. Baginsky and Angela Baginsky; his great grandson, Rory Arnold and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be on Friday, February 21, 2025 starting at 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret, followed by a 10 AM Mass at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret. Interment will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
