Julia Strusiak, 96, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in Easton, PA. She was born in Passaic and lived in Carteret for over 60 years. Julia was a 1946 graduate of Passaic Senior High School. She was a member of St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret and was the secretary for the Afternoon Senior Group for 13 years. Julia retired from the Carteret Bank and Trust in Carteret, as a bank teller/receptionist.

She is predeceased by her husband, Chester Strusiak; her daughter, Suzanne Mercorelli; five brothers and three sisters. Julia is survived by her son-in-law, Martin Mercorelli; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret with visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM followed by 10 AM Divine Liturgy. Interment will be at Saint Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack, NJ. Arrangements were under the care of Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret.
