Laurie Lyn Hogya-Busch, 60, of Matawan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Bayshore Community Hospital. She was born in Perth Amboy, and lived most of her life in Carteret before moving to Matawan. Laurie worked for a short time at a Doctor's office in Woodbridge, as a medical assistant. She was a very spiritual person, who hosted morning devotionals, attended bible study and loved hosting bingo for her women's group.

She is predeceased by her parents, Carol and Victor Hogya. Laurie is survived by her loving son, Tim Busch; her grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Madison, Avery, Jaylee, Sophia, Serenity and Jovani; her sister, Carol Molitano and her husband, Raymond; her brother, Victor Hogya III and his wife, Maria; her Aunt Kathy Williams; Uncle Henry Miller and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Synowiecki Funeral Home,56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret, funeral home opening at 9:30 AM, Funeral Service at 10 AM, followed by Interment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
