Linda Orosz, 67, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at R.W.J.U. Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born in Bayonne, NJ and lived in Carteret for most of her life, after marrying her husband, Joseph 39 years ago. Linda was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish in Carteret. She was the President of the Carteret Columbiettes Carey Council 1280 and the District Deputy of the NJ State Columbiettes.

Linda retired from St. Peter Claver Roman Catholic Church in Montclair as their organist. Linda's passion was music; she loved all string instruments, especially the violin and piano. She loved teaching music to the local youth and beyond. St. Joseph's School children fondly called her "Miss Linda". Linda enjoyed going to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concerts and attending the Jets Games with her husband, Joe.

She is predeceased by her parents, Gloria and Anthony Frank Garritano. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Joseph M. Orosz; her brother, Robert Garritano and his wife, Hara; and several nieces and nephews in the Mid West.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret.  The Carteret Knights of Columbus Carey Council 1280 and the Columbiettes will hold their service together at 6 PM. Funeral will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 we will meet at church, Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret, for a 10 AM Mass. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia
