Lynda Muraco “Nanny”, 83, of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born in Bethlehem, PA and resided the majority of her life in Carteret, NJ.

Lynda was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Carteret. She retired from Merck in Rahway after many years of service.

She loved cooking and baking, especially for her family. Lynda also had a passion for music; she enjoyed a wide variety of music genres.

Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Kurt Strub; her son, Gregory Muraco and her beloved life-long companion, John Bedford.

She is survived by her loving children, Michael Muraco and Michelle Toscano; her grandchildren, Michael Toscano and Brittany Muraco and her two great grandchildren, Aiden Toscano and Skylar Toscano.

A Memorial Service will be held for her on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret.
