Margaret McKee Schrader Gummerman , 97, of Carteret, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born in Bronx, NY and resided the majority of her life in Carteret, NJ.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, James McKee & Eleanore Farrell; her ex husband, Theodore Schrader; her husband, Charles Gummerman and her sons, Stephen Schrader, Lawrence Schrader and Michael Schrader.

 She loved all animals and even on holidays she made sure all of the dogs ate before her human family did. She was happiest when the family was gathered at her house. She also loved doing puzzles, going to Atlantic City, watching the History Channel and the Discovery Channel and plants. She had a green thumb.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Christine Cipriano, William Schrader and his wife Renee, Paul Schrader and his wife Sandi, her daughter-in-law, Barbara Schrader, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren (both 2 legged and 4 legged).

Funeral will be on Monday, September 14, 2026 , at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ ,with visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM departure to Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY where Interment will take place at 11:30 AM.
