Raymond C. Michaelsen Jr. Was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 5, 1955.

Ray moved to Carteret, NJ when he was a child where he grew up and started a family with his former wife Nancy, their daughter Catherine and stepson Ross DelConte.

Ray attended Carteret High School where he was always surrounded by friends and family.

After High School, Ray went on the road as a Tractor Trailer Operator crossing the country transporting Jet fuels, chemicals and critical liquids. He went on to become an Owner/Operator of his own Trucking Company, RCM Trucking. A True Road Warrior. He was always known as a hard worker.

Ray's hobbies included cars, motorcycles, boats, skiing, weight training and playing guitar. He enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore. He especially enjoyed going to the Bus Stop Diner with his daughter Catherine.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond, Sr. and Helen Michaelsen. He leaves behind his daughter, Catherine; former wife, Nancy Daly; stepson, Ross DelConte; sister, Marion Michaelsen; Her daughters, Dr. Sarah Salz and husband, Dr. David Salz, Rachel Iosifescu and partner Cara; brother, Paul Michaelsen; grandsons, Harrison and Leonardo; cousins, Doug Knutsen and his wife, Denise, Kent Knutsen, Kirk Knutsen and his wife Judy; many other cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3,2025 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church in Carteret. Arrangements were held under the care of Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ.
