Scott Peter Samu,55, formerly of Carteret, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, surrounded by his family at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He was born in Perth Amboy, and lived most of his life in Carteret and Woodbridge Township. Scott was part of the Class of 1988 in Carteret High School. He went on to build his career in HVAC and was a member of Local No. 9.

Scott loved sports, especially Hockey, the NJ Devils and NFL, the Los Angeles Rams. He was a dedicated worker, and loving father and friend to all.

He is predeceased by his parents, Mary Jo and Steven ( aka Pete) Samu; and his wife, Terri  Samu. Scott is survived by his loving sons, Ronald Vincelli (Gemma) and Scott S. Samu (Miranda); his sisters, Kelly (Michael), Robin Anne and Melissa (Frank); his brothers, Steven (Suzanne) and Michael (Cindy); grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret from 5 PM to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory would be appreciated.
