Susan Marie Banko Lindh, age 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 7th,2024 at Embrace Hospice House, in Myrtle Beach, SC surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Carteret, NJ and currently, resided in Hemingway, SC.
Susan worked for 38 years as one of Schulman Wiegmann & Associates' top certified court reporters. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Carteret where she previously held the position of Army of Hope Committee Chairperson.
Susan was a beautiful soul who loved everyone she met and made people feel special. She had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends more than anything else. She was very proud of her role as Gigi to her 8-month-old granddaughter. Her family referred to her as the glue that held them together.
She is predeceased by her parents, Steve and Catherine Banko. She is survived by her loving husband, David Lindh, her sons David Lindh and fiancé Mary Freed and Dallas (Kaitlin) Lindh and Granddaughter, Charlotte, brothers, Stephen (Terry) Banko, Robert Banko (Luann), and David Banko (Tami) and sisters, Kathleen (Steve) Fedorchak, Mary Ellen Banko, father-n-law, Dorrance Lindh, sister-n-law Donna (Jack) Ardito, 17 nieces and nephews, 29 great nieces and nephews and multiple God children.
Funeral will be on Tuesday, May 14,2024 starting at 10:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret, NJ followed by the Divine Liturgy at 11 AM at St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret. Private Cremation will be held. Visitation will be on Monday, May 13,2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Carteret BPO Elks 2235 will hold their ritual at 6:30 PM and Panachida will be at 8:45 PM.
In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carteret Elks to aid in their charitable works, 233 Roosevelt Ave, Carteret, NJ 07008.
