Waldemar Modzelewski 65, of Carteret, died on Friday, July 26, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Lomza, Poland and lived in Carteret since December 1979. Waldemar was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Carteret. He retired from Silver Line Windows in North Brunswick in 2011, after many years working as a die setter. He enjoyed taking short trips, watching his favorite TV shows and dining at Applebee's and Red Lobster. Waldemar loved spending time with his grandchildren, James and Hope.

He is predeceased by his first grandson, Reece Modzelewski and is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Helen Modzelewski; his three sons, Anthony, Mark (Nicole) and Andrew (Crys Conn) Modzelewski; grandchildren, James and Hope; brother, Wieslaw Modzelewski and his wife, Ewa; sisters, Jolanta (Shivas) and Hanna (Merino); four nieces, Paula, Natalia, Wanda and Katarzyna ; and many cousins.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 starting at 9 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave. in Carteret, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
