William J. Ward, 83, of Carteret, died on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at home. He was born in Carteret and was a life-long resident. He served in the United States Army from 1963-1969 .He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret. Bill worked for the Carteret Housing Authority as a Maintenance Repairman for thirty years. Bill loved to go out with his friends for the "occasional" beer and will be missed.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Harold Ward; his son, Darren Ward and his wife, Rosemarie Ward. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Julie Ward; two brothers, Donald and Harold (Lefty) Ward; sister, Audrey Nagy; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and his dear friends, the Almengor Family.

Funeral will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 starting 9:30 AM at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret, followed by a 10 AM Mass at Divine Mercy Parish-Holy Family Church in Carteret. Entombment will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Divine Mercy Parish would be appreciated.
